Thirty-eight year old actor Corin Nemec is scheduled to be part of Supernatural's much anticipated season six due out this September on the CW. Nemec is on board to play the Winchesters boy's maternal cousin, Christian Campbell.
Nemec will join the likes of Mitch Pileggi who is being brought back from the dead to play Sam and Dean's grandfather among several other guest stars! Aside from this latest casting news (or should I say rumor?) Supernatural Season 6 details have been well guarded. Producers of the series have spoken out to divulge that we'll see Sam pull Dean from the normal life of baseball games and family Bbq's in order to hunt again.
Via Erik Kripke, the show's creator turned consultant, here's what you can expect to see moving forward - "One of the first things Sera and Bob talked to me about was that the angel thing is rightfully exhausted, so where do you go from there? Not to say that angels and demons won't be a part of the story line, because they will. Castiel will be there. Crowley will be there. The beloved characters will be threading into the story. But the great undiscovered country of Supernatural is kind of right in front of our face: creatures and monsters. We have had so many creature episodes but we haven't actually explained where they came from, similar to the way we have explored angels and demons. How do they feel about the situations they are in? Are they from here? Where did the first ones come from? How did werewolves and vampires and shape-shifters all begin anyway? I thought that was a really smart notion on Sera and Bob's part, just exploring the history of that, because that was something that we never investigated on the show."
I know I am looking forward to the origins of just were this blood sucking vamps and nasty demons come from! Other than that I guess we'll have to wait when the series returns this September!
In other news Nemec, who has previously been seen in The Ghost Whisperer and Star-ving, has several other roles in the works. Corin is scheduled to appear in the movie entitled The American Standards, Nuclear Family and the flick Hollywont as the character Isaacson.

I planned this trip months in advance and have known since December that it was "Going to Happen!" and told Corin so in a myspace email. He knew he had a new 'stalker' then ;) A new job happened but before I took the job, I made sure they knew I was going to Vancouver in July and why I was going. Now they knew they had a nutty new IT tech on their hands!
The Star-ving for a Streamy campaign started and in that hullabaloo Corin agreed that we should 'do lunch'. My roommates were invited too and we all melted like good fan-girls. So finally July 8th arrived. We made it to the hotel in relatively one piece though Laura was limping on her poor sprained ankle from two weeks before. We lost a roomie to a family emergency. She was very missed! We registered and first up was a meet N greet for that night. Being newbie Gatecon goers we had no idea who was meeting and greeting. It turns out - EVERYONE.
We walked into the lounge area around 7 and by 8:30 almost all the guests had arrived. Colin Cunningham, Paul McGillion, JR Bourne, Musetta Vander, Cliff Simon, Erick Avari and of course, Corin Nemec. We'd seen Colin and JR first so we were looking for Corin and suddenly Laura spotted him. She parted the crowd like the Red Sea and Mary and I followed. I started snapping photos of him 'holding court'. This meetNgreet was very photo friendly and people were all waiting politely for the guest to finish talking to someone and then moving in for their chat and photo with the guests. I've really never seen anything like it.

Corin Nemec stars as an impressionable young Jewish boy who falls for the Catholic girl next door (Cheryl Pollak) in this bittersweet coming of age tale set in 1960s Texas. Despite their parents disapproval their romance become serious--with distressing consequences.
Filmed while Corin was on hiatus from Parker Lewis, For The Very First Time has long been a fan favorite for those familiar with his early career. This television movie is rarely broadcast so enjoy it on YouTube while you can! Let's keep our fingers crossed that the Warner Brother's Archive DVD release of I Know My First Name is Steven might reawaken some interest in these early movies and spur some more DVD releases in the future.

Corin Nemec decides to take a walk around Supanova in Melbourne, talking to fans, workers, and anyone who catches his eye.
The video is in six parts shot on both Saturday and Sunday, highlights include:
- Corin attempting to interview R2D2
- Chatting with "con babes"
- A lot of self-depeciating but hilarious commentary on the fact that NOBODY seems to recognize him although he's a guest at the con.
- An extremely truculant gamer dressed like Che Guevara.
- Lots of con-goers with great costumes.
- A tour of the vendors hall which wraps up at the Gifts for the Geek Stargate booth.
- Special guest appearance by Gareth David Lloyd.
